Coaching Experience/ Summer 2021
Based on my cultural diversity experience I was able to get a head coaching job here in Bismarck. I coached a 13 through 15-year-old travel team this summer. While logging over 200 hours of coaching over the summer, it is safe to say that this experience was the best of my life. I was privileged enough to be set up with the most amazing set of young men and in even more amazing set of parents. Throughout the summer I was tasked with creating practice plans, game plans, and even some travel plans. What helped me the most with this experience and what I can use the most in my life is communication. I was in constant communication with the players, their parents, and coaches and supervisors from around the state. While coaching this summer it solidified my interest in not only physical education but in coaching as well. The bonds and relationships that I formed with these athletes over the course of the summer were truly humbling and gratifying for me.
